Job Vacancy: Experienced Project Co-ordinator

Aug 14, 2014

There is currently a job vacancy suitable for WWOOFers who have experience on commercial organic vegetable farms.

FarmStart Manchester:

FarmStart Manchester is the UK’s first organic vegetable farm business incubator, currently in it’s second season. With it we aim to make the route into farming easier by providing access to land, training and mentoring, as well as support selling to local markets.

We are looking for an experienced project co-ordinator with at least 2 years’ commercial growing experience to take FarmStart Manchester forward. The role will involve administrative tasks, training and practical site maintenance. You will be responsible for recruiting and inducting new growers, liaising with existing and new customers, providing 1:1 advice to new growers as well as tractor work.

In addition, you will work with the Kindling Trust team to establish further FarmStart sites around Greater Manchester.  We are looking for an enterprising individual who has a practical approach and good communication skills. This is a varied, interesting and exciting role, and we look forward to hearing what you would bring to it.

Salary: This post is full-time until Dec 2016.

Drivers’ License essential.

Email helen@kindling.org.uk for the job description and the application form.

Deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 12th September.

Interviews will be held on Saturday 20th September in Manchester.

Preferred start date: November 3rd (though this is flexible).
