Farm manager opportunity with potential to buy into business – West Wales, UK.

Organics To Go is a WWOOF UK host looking for a new manager and/or owner of its well established and profitable organic growing and box scheme business in Carmarthenshire Wales. It grows on 10 acres of south facing land which has top grade medium loam stone free soil and have been registered organic for 15 years. The business has six 50m by 8m polytunnels and tractor and packing units. It delivers produce to around 150 households within 10 miles of the farm and to a local wholesaler who will take all the produce we grow. It has two part time employees who do the tractor work and packing/delivering and who have worked here for over seven years. Looking to involve the local community to a greater degree and have a local support group which meets every month and is researching grant funding options.

The business has great expansion potential (it used to employ 20 people) as the only commercial organic veg farm in the county and has the plenty of land and packing/storage space. There is the option to buy the land and the farmhouse here if a buyer has the funds. Alternatively a manager could buy into the business rather than buy it outright. There is flexibility to the situation of applicants. After 25 years of growing experience the owner, Roger Hallam, is starting a PhD and needs to step back from the running of the business and this is the reason for the availability of this position/sale.

If you are interested in further information please ring Roger on 07588 559459 or email on organics2go@googlemail.com.
