organic news

Many of you may already know that the Soil Association provides a daily media digest by e-mail with the intention of keeping you up-to-date with latest news and issues related to organic food and farming. It’s free and you can subscribe to it using: action.soilassociation.org/page/s/todaysnews. Our editor signed up a few months ago, has been informed and interested by many of the items and would love to know whether you think it provides information that’s of interest to WWOOF UK’s members. Please use editor@wwoof.org.uk to tell her.

A new issue of The Land – that beautifully presented ‘occasional magazine about land rights’ – has recently been published. It is, as always, packed full of well-written articles on a range of subjects with an emphasis in this edition on the question of rising human population. To order a copy online use: www.thelandmagazine.org.uk

During April to June Emerson College is planning to run three new short courses. They are workshops and are ‘open to anyone with an interest in organic, sustainable or biodynamic ways of growing food, caring for our environment and community, or in the way we educate and care for each other’.
