dawn to dusk – a day on a community supported farm

Aug 31, 2015

Sue Coppard, founder of WWOOF, brought this beautiful and inspiring video to our attention saying:

I went to the launch of this delightful film last Saturday (1st August) at Create in Bristol. Made by Saffron Knight and Julian Jones of Water 21, it is an excellent 20-minute video introducing CSA, Bio-Dynamic farming, and flood attenuating irrigated agriculture. In Julian’s words ‘it outlines an ethos and methodology that could at least double food production in the UK with such artisanal agriculture, while rebalancing the economy, addressing causes and effects of climate change – and all around the world with similar variants and no toxic chemicals’. WOW!! Apart from being very informative, WWOOF members will like to know that it was filmed at Emerson College’s bio-dynamic Tablehurst Farm in deepest Sussexthe cradle of WWOOF where we held our very first trial weekend way back in October 1971.

It is hoped that in due course an hour long film will be produced going into bio-dynamic methods in greater detail. Meanwhile, Dawn to Dusk is free to view on YouTube . And should you wish to know more, the Water 21 website is: www.water21.org.uk
