Oxford Real Farming Conference 2016

Dec 3, 2015

Its that time of the year again soon [amazing how quickly the time flies] The Oxford Real Farming Conference is upon us again. Every year ORFC grows in popularity. With a stellar line up of ‘mud on their boots’ speakers, workshops and networking with farmers, growers and food activists – why not join in yourself? Held in the town hall on the 6th & 7th of Jan – 2 day tickets cost just £50.

Here’s what the organisers have to say about this year’s event:

“The 2016 Oxford Real Farming Conference will be the best yet. Held in the Oxford Town Hall on 6th & 7th January, this unique gathering of the UK sustainable food and farming movements will offer a practical mix of on-farm advice, showcase new techniques for best practice in agroecological farming, and discuss the global food system, including the economic and trade policies that affect British farming.

ORFC delegates are those from across food and farming, with an interest in new agricultural models. Those interested in meeting global food system challenges in innovative, environmentally sustainable ways. Meet the people putting new models of farming into practice, be inspired by those who have been farming for some time, and connect with other farmers facing their own challenges in producing good food for healthy communities. The Oxford Real Farming conference is a unique opportunity to connect with new, young and emerging farmers; from those taking over the family farm, to those innovating in unusual urban spaces.

This two-day event offers opportunities to connect with other farmers, hear from experts in the field, and participate in discussions and workshops, as well as enjoying a locally-sourced evening meal and even a bit of dancing!”
