regional gathering for South Wales

Jan 10, 2016

Katie Hastings, RHC for South Wales at the time, organised a regional gathering in South Wales on Sunday 22nd November. She sent us these photos and told us about the day. Since then Katie (who is also a director of WWOOF UK so has plenty to do) has handed over South Wales to David Sears. Welcome David and we hope you enjoy being an RHC.

We had a wonderful gathering yesterday at Lammas. There were 16 people there including myself and Holly (Cross, who is Organisational and Personal Administrator for WWOOF UK).

We had a great chat about hosting and local WWOOFing, a wonderful shared lunch

and an inspiring tour of Lammas.

I have also agreed to show host Dan (Holly’s partner) and Debbie (Blaenffos Permaculture Market Garden) my own veg box scheme and help them to set up a cooperative of growers like the one I run in Mid Wales.

Barn to be wild

An opportunity to live in the Brecon Beacons Ten years ago I bought a dilapidated stone barn high on a hill in mid-Wales. I had been visiting the area for several years, staying in my campervan, walking and exploring. I started to look for somewhere to make a more...
