Organic Veg Business for Sale- North East England

Jan 21, 2016

An opportunity exists to purchase an organic vegetable growing business which comes with the following recommendation:

“Katrina of Bluebell Organics in North Yorkshire (based between Richmond and Barnard Castle) is looking to sell her very well established organic vegetable growing business which supplies a wide range of farmers’ markets in the North East of England and has a well establish home delivery service. As the manager of Hexham Farmers’ Market I’d be very keen to see someone take on this business and continue supplying our customers with top quality, locally grown vegetables and fruit.”

Peter Samsom (Hexham Farmers’ Market manager)

Here’s what the advert says:

Well established organic fruit and vegetable business with potential for expansion for sale in North Yorkshire.

Organic business based at a 4 acre site which includes a walled garden and comprising sales via home delivery scheme and at local farmers markets.

This is a unique opportunity to purchase a business with a well established reputation, name and a very loyal customer base.

The sale is based on the opportunity to take over the farm business tenancy of the site which includes a 2 bedroom cottage, a professional kitchen, storage and packing sheds and a well established organic growing space which includes 4 polytunnels and a mature apple orchard.

All business assets are included in the sale that enable the business to be run as it is including a tractor and growing equipment, kitchen equipment including an apple press – as well as all the information needed for a delivery round of 100 customers and access to well established sales at local farmers markets.
