Trainee Grower Vacancy: Highlands, Scotland.

Feb 2, 2017

Black Isle Veg Boxes has an opportunity for a trainee grower to assist with veg growing in 2017.

Our 20 acre organic croft is situated in the Scottish Highlands on the beautiful Black Isle. We deliver home grown veg to the local area & are looking to expand the range and number of outlets.

Duties will be varied but mainly include growing, harvesting & delivering vegetables. There are a few cattle, sheep & hens which are an integral part of the holding so some help may be needed with them at times.

Some experience of veg growing is essential but practical and theoretical training will be provided.

Anyone interested will have a good work ethic, like working outside, a driving license & a passion for local organic food.

The work is normally Monday to Friday – 35 hours per week. The area is very rural so your own transport is desirable.

There is an onsite static caravan, home produce & bills included + small renumeration.

Applications from couples as well as individuals are welcome.

Potential for long term opportunities after the first year.

To apply and for more information please contact: dan@fearniewell.co.uk or look up the website: www.blackisleveg.co.uk
