Kitchen/back of house support – Groundswell festival 2022

Apr 20, 2022

SSAW Collective is an events company. We create experiences that truly celebrate seasonality, advocating for positive and  progressive change in the food and floral industries. Our mission is to empower people to make conscious choices by offering a slower, more resourceful style of hospitality that is nourishing in every sense of the word. Our circular approach reconnects people to real ingredients, bringing people together in thought provoking, joyful settings. Our support for talented, independent farmers, growers and makers dedicated to working regeneratively with the land is fundamental to the experiences we offer.

In 2022 we are continuing to host a series of events centered around looking after the land and closing the gap between the kitchen and the fields: creating menus and beautiful floral displays celebrating the produce they grow and that of other small-scale, regeneratively run local suppliers.

For the second year we are hosting a feast at Groundswell Regenerative Agricultural Show.  Here is the ticket link for more details.

The Groundswell festival is a catalyst for change in the farming community and we are proud to be a part of the 2022 programme. Returning for the second year, we’ll be taking over the same beautiful 19th Century timber barn on site to offer communal dinners, creating an installation with our flowers and bringing people together at a long table to honour the relationship between farmer and chef, flowers and food, using some of the best locally sourced produce.

This year we’re very excited to say that Chris Woolard, @iamwooly Head Chef of @jolene_hackney will be heading up the kitchen. We’ve been working with Chris on planning the feasting menu, (which is looking incredible) setting ourselves the challenge of utilising and celebrating a hyper local, regenerative supply chain.
