Starting salary: £23,967.33 per annum and a range of benefits.

This is a hands-on role responsible for leading engaging countryside, food and farming sessions for groups of beneficiary children at Wick Court, a 50-acre farm with a kitchen garden; raising pigs, poultry, sheep and cattle, equines and bees.
 
The postholder will create and deliver a plan for a productive growing in line with environmentally sensitive land use and lead practical management of the gardens and orchards, and maintenance across the farm.
 
While the role will be responsible for growing at Wick Court, the postholder will also work with the animals. As part of the wider farming operations team, the Farm School Leader will deliver knowledge-rich farming and countryside sessions for visiting children as well helping with daily farming tasks and maintenance works.

Kindling Farm Admin Assistant

Part time: 18.75 hours (2.5 days) per a week. May involve the occasional weekend or evening meeting.

1 year contract with possibility of extension.

£24,570 pro rata per annum (for a 37.5 hour working week) plus a 5% employer pension contribution (actual salary for 18.75 hours a week: £12,225 per annum)

Farm manager for Kindling Farm

Full time: 37.5 hours a week. You must be able to work occasional weekends and be flexible to possible seasonal changes to start/end times where needed.

Contract: 2 years​ with potential 3rd year depending on start date and growth of​ business.

Salary Range from £27,000 – £33,150 per annum (gross) dependent on experience.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week. April to October: 5 days a week including one Saturday a month. November to March: to be discussed.

Farm Shop Supervisor

Tablehurst Farm runs a bustling farm shop in which the local community, as well as customers who travel from afar, come to buy our farm-produced and externally sourced products. To a large extent the farm shop is where the farm interfaces with the community, so it is essential that it maintains a friendly and welcoming image, provide excellent service and ensures that customers enjoy the experience of shopping at Tablehurst Farm.  

Pie Kitchen Chef

Tablehurst Farm runs a thriving pie kitchen which bakes award winning pies, sausage rolls, quiches and cakes etc. These products are then sold in our farm shop and cafe. Much of the ingredients are produced on the farm so this is a great opportunity to work in a “field to fork” environment on a full-time basis (42.5 hours per week Tuesday – Saturday). Full time working hours to be 8am to 5.30pm with 1 hour (unpaid) for lunch.

 At Tablehurst Farm is a care home where three adults with learning disabilities live and take part in various work on the farm. One of the care home residents currently helps with basic food preparation in the pie kitchen. The successful candidate must be willing to work with him once or twice a week, and undertake the relevant online training such as understanding learning disability and autism.

Garden Organic are asking people around the UK to grow a crop of their own favourite climbing French Beans then record some of the key dates that things happened (eg planting out, first flower, first pod set etc)

This work will allow us to get a better picture of regional variations for growing crops and we will use it to improve our veg growing calendars. We will also repeat the work as a longitudinal study so that we can look at any longer-term trends due to climate change.
