The World Jam Festival – Newby Hall, North Yorkshire

The World Jam Festival & Awards is to be held in the Grantham Rooms at Newby Hall, near Ripon and runs in conjunction with 2025 Apple Day at the same venue. Jam makers from all over the world are invited to submit their jam for a chance to win a World Jam Festival award. Entries close on 1st September 2025.

SURVEY – exploring the role of women in sustainable UK agriculture
This survey reaches out to women – and advocates for women – across the UK’s farming and grower communities to take part in a short 10-15 minute survey about the role of women in sustainable agriculture.
Whether you run a farm, work the land, manage the books, or are a part of food cultivation, your perspectives are vital. This survey, being carried out by Stephanie Lawson, an Anglia Ruskin University MSc Sustainability student, aims to better understand women’s unique contributions to sustainability and to shed light on her skillsets, needed to build a future-proof and resilient farming industry.
Sharing your views will help to amplify women’s voices in UK agriculture and may strengthen farming communities to, together, move towards truly sustainable farming.

We are seeking new volunteer trustees to join our board. As a trustee, you’ll help guide the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring we stay true to our values while continuing to grow and support our network of hosts and WWOOFers.
We’re especially keen to hear from people with experience in any of the following areas: governance/legal, finance, fundraising, marketing or digital communications – but most importantly, we’re looking for people who share our commitment to sustainable agriculture.

Setting Up & Scaling Up your CSA: a two-day course with Ed Hamer

We’re excited to share the first run of this year’s two-day, in-person training course designed to support and equip growers, organisers and community groups in setting up or scaling up a CSA farm.
Led by Ed Hamer of Chagfood Community Market Garden, one of the UK’s longest-running and most established CSAs, this course offers a deep dive into the practical, financial and organisational skills needed to build a healthy community-supported farm.
