Britain’s Future Forest Conference – Durham
17th & 18th November 2025
The Treescapes team at CCRI are currently in the process of collaborating with Defra and the Centre for Forest Protection in organising the conference. ‘Britain’s Forest Future: Research-Practice Exchange’ will be the most significant forest and woodland research, policy and practice knowledge-exchange event in 2025. The event will feature new research, thinking, policy and practice around resilient and biodiverse treescapes and be an opportunity for forest/woodland researchers, forestry/woodland practitioners and policy specialists to discuss the latest research and shape UK forestry agendas.

You can apply for funding to deliver a new or existing activity or to support your organisation to change and adapt to new and future challenges.
We can fund projects that’ll do at least one of these things:
- bring people together to build strong relationships in and across communities
- improve the places and spaces that matter to communities
- help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage
- support people, communities and organisations facing more demands and challenges because of the cost-of-living crisis.

Suitable for voluntary or community organisations. Funding size £300 to £20,000 for up to two years.
Apply at least 16 weeks before you want to start the activities or spend any of the money.

We’ve got some funky zines which open out and turn into a poster! They’re designed to help spread the word about WWOOF UK. If you’re going to an event maybe you’d like to take some zines along? They might be seen by people who’ve never heard of us and, thanks to you, they’ll discover options in life they never knew existed!!!

Is there a noticeboard at the allotment, in a local food shop, café or other public space where you might be able to display one of our zine/posters?
