In 4 nations and with 9 pilots, we’ve managed to bring real life solutions to solve the eternal question, in our minds anyway: how to do we bridge the gap between climate and nature-friendly food and people on low incomes, whilst supporting our growers.
What did we discover? That modest public investment in organic fruit and veg, can deliver huge returns for communities, local economies and climate. And with the right intervention and policy, we can scale this up so millions more people in the UK can benefit.
The time is now for government to fix the UK food system, if not we risk deepening our diet, climate and farming crises. Our report lays out policy recommendations for the UK’s 4 nations, breaking it down into production, supply chain and access.
