Every WWOOFing journey begins somewhere.
For Valli, that first stay was in Llandiloes, Wales, with the Dol Llys Housing Committee. Eight days of chickens, polytunnels, no-dig beds, daffodil fields, generous hosts, and one very memorable banoffee pie.

“I was involved in a range of hands-on tasks, including taking care of the chickens, which I loved. The hosts even trusted me being around them, haha. I also worked in the polytunnels, helped with no-dig beds, built things from scratch, and spent time out in the daffodil fields. It made the whole experience really engaging and rewarding.”
“The knowledge I gained, especially around farming and sustainable living, was beyond anything I expected. It has definitely made me more interested in living more sustainably and doing similar experiences in the future.”
“One thing I have taken away for sure is that, when I get the chance, I will definitely start composting!”
