WWOOF UK is pleased to be working with Mycoharmonics to offer one WWOOF UK member a free place on their upcoming 5-day Natural Farming Course at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.
The course takes place from 16th – 20th October 2026 and the place is worth £1,200!
It is a chance to spend five days learning about soil, microbes, natural inputs, fermentation, plant health and practical ways to work more closely with nature.
And the best bit? This opportunity is open to WWOOF UK members only!
You might be a WWOOFer, host, grower, smallholder, community gardener, farm worker, allotment grower, or someone still finding your way into the world of food and farming. If you care about healthy soil and want to learn more, you should apply.
What is the course about?
The course is run by Mycoharmonics and led by Lapo Fiorenzato and Koby Guye, both certified Korean Natural Farming teachers.
Across five days, participants will explore practical ways to support living soil, grow stronger plants, reduce reliance on bought-in inputs, and make use of the natural resources already around them.
There will be classroom learning, field demonstrations and hands-on practice, with a focus on understanding soil as a living system.
Rather than only thinking about how to feed plants, the course looks at the relationships between soil, microbes, plants, animals and people.
We believe the course is very much in the spirit of WWOOF: learning by doing, asking questions, sharing knowledge, and spending time with people who care about the land.
What will you learn?
The course will introduce participants to:
- Korean Natural Farming
- Soil biology and microorganisms
- Collecting and using indigenous microorganisms
- Compost and fermentation
- Homemade natural inputs
- Nutritive cycles
- Practical farm and growing applications
- Ways to build more resilient growing systems
In simple terms, it is about learning how to work with nature, rather than always trying to control it.
Who can apply?
This free place is open to current WWOOF UK members.
You do not need to be an established farmer. You do not need to own land. You do not need to have all the answers.
You might be growing food, volunteering on farms, hosting WWOOFers, working on a community project, helping on an allotment, learning through WWOOF, or dreaming of a future connected to soil, food and farming.
When you apply, you will be asked to share a little about yourself, your project or experience, and why you would like to take part.
Applications will be reviewed jointly by mycoharmonics and WWOOF UK. The selected participant will be announced on 15th August 2026.
What is included?
The complimentary place covers the full course tuition, worth £1,200.
This includes:
- The full 5-day course

- Access to the course community and ongoing support
Please note that travel, accommodation, meals and personal expenses are not included. These will need to be arranged and covered by the selected participant.
Meals will be available through the Royal Agricultural University cafeteria, and accommodation can be booked separately either on campus or nearby.
