WWOOF is 45 years old – did you know?
The 45th birthday of this inspiring global movement, which started in the UK, falls in October this year and WWOOF UK is inviting all its members to the party!
The annual WWOOF UK Members Weekend is one of the high points of the WWOOFing year, with accommodation, food, workshops, discussions, meetings, and entertainment all thrown in for a really affordable price for members.
As this is a party year, there will also definitely be much cake and dancing; even more of a reason to get together with fellow members, staff, directors and friends of WWOOF UK to reminisce about the past and look forward to another 45 years of hosting and WWOOFing!
We’re throwing the party in Cumbria this year at the Kepplewray Centre near Broughton in Furness. Local WWOOF hosts will be helping out, and insider information from them suggests that this western-most corner of the Lake District is gorgeous, with few tourists ever venturing into the remote and beautiful valleys; which means it really is worth the journey if you’re thinking of coming to the Members Weekend from afar.
